As the year draws to a close, people around the world are looking back at 2019 and evaluating the time spent, decisions made and actions taken over the last 12 months. Here at Amadeus, we are no different. We understand the importance of studying the past, assessing our performance and, most of all, celebrating all the wonderful things we have achieved.

So, what have we done in 2019 that’s made us so proud and full of joy?

Growth & Development

We celebrated 1 year since Amadeus added TravelClick to our family and what a year it has been! Together, we have created a menu of powerhouse options for hoteliers of all shapes and sizes. We operate in 190+ countries, serve 44k hotels, restaurants, casinos and event spaces and distribute 800k properties. Since the acquisition, our teams have been working together to align our long-term goals and redefine our mission as a hospitality tech organization. Our vision is to drive the hospitality industry forward; enhancing the guest experience, driving loyalty and increasing profitability for our customers.

Dedication to Our Customers

We were proud to receive a 2019 Confirmit ACE Award which highlights our dedication to customer experience programs and driving change across the business. We aim to continuously support our customers, not only with our expert Support team, but also by sharing valuable information along with tips & tricks on our Blog & Insights page.

Events Around the Globe

Our hospitality team attended over 120 events globally in 2019! We have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people and making new connections. We also hosted another successful Customer Conference (AHCC) and would like to thank everyone who attended and helped to make the event so impactful!

Unified Community

For Amadeus employees, 2019 has been a year of giving back. From planting trees, litter picking and packing food for the hungry, to celebrating equality by supporting International Women’s Day and Pride month and raising awareness of Autism, our teams around the world have come together to make a difference this year. We couldn’t be more appreciative of all their hard work!

Planning for Hospitality Recovery

In partnership with global hospitality organizations HSMAI, IoH, and HOSPA, we developed a series of recovery eBooks to help hospitality professionals chart their course for recovery in the aftermath of COVID-19. Together, we conducted surveys and interviews with dozens of global industry experts and leveraged Amadeus’ internal expertise to compile specific, actionable ways to build and execute recovery plans across marketing, sales, revenue management, and operations.
